How a biogas plant works – a visit to the Luke facility in Jokioinen

Case - Published 20.8.2024

A farm-scale biogas plant was completed at the Jokioinen site of the Natural Resources Institute Finland in 2023. The reactor is fed by dairy cattle slurry, plant biomass and solid manure slurry from the farm. Find out from the video how these are used to produce energy, soil improvers, fertiliser and bedding for the barn. Subtitles are available in English.
